Baseball Recap: West Babylon Wins Going Away Against Bellport

West Babylon got themselves on the board against Bellport on Thursday, but Bellport never followed suit. They blew past the Clippers 9-0. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Clippers: they've now won six in a row.

Not much got past Anthony Gerbasio, who gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks to keep Bellport off the board. Gerbasio has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

West Babylon's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bellport, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
