Volleyball Game Preview: Freeport Bulldogs vs. Walton Braves

The Freeport Bulldogs will face off against the Walton Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Freeport's favor as the squad sits on 14 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Walton has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.

Freeport is headed into the match having just posted their closest victory since August 30th on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Destin, sneaking past 3-2.

Freeport had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 27-29, 25-16, 25-22, 15-8.

Meanwhile, Walton lost 3-0 to Pensacola Catholic on Monday.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-7, 25-15.

Freeport's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Walton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Everything went Freeport's way against Walton in their previous meeting on September 4th, as Freeport made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Braves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
