Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Brighton's Eighth in Last Ten Outings

Brighton won the last time they faced Craigmont and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Brighton Cardinals walked away with a 65-52 win over the Craigmont Chiefs. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Chiefs are ranked 347th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brighton is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Craigmont, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brighton has already played their next game (against Raleigh-Egypt), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Craigmont will head out to take on Millington Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Millington Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Craigmont likes a good challenge.
