The Portsmouth Patriots will look to defend their home court against the Westerly Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Rhode Island (Portsmouth is ranked 17th, while Westerly is ranked 23rd).

Portsmouth waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 48-35 win over Scituate.

Portsmouth's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Moore, who scored 15 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Annie Hurd, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Westerly's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They received a tough blow as they fell 52-37 to La Salle Academy. Westerly has not had much luck with La Salle Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Portsmouth has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Westerly, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-8.
