Soccer Recap: Speedway Find Success

After losing to Warren Central the last time they met, Speedway decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Sparkplugs who were credited with the victory on Monday. The Speedway Sparkplugs got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Warren Central Warriors' one. The win made it back-to-back victories for Speedway.

Kendrick Kiser and Henos Tewelde scored both of Speedway's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Speedway's win bumped their record up to 7-3-2. As for Warren Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

Speedway wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 5-0 loss against Lawrence North on the 24th. As for Warren Central, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter at 10:30 a.m. on October 4.
