Basketball Recap: Del Norte Takes a Loss

Del Norte lost against Valley last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Del Norte Knights took a 41-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valley Vikings. The game marked the Knights' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Angelito Villa continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Valley, shooting 56% from the field on his way to 14 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Abeyta-Jefferson, who posted seven points.

Del Norte's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-14.

Del Norte has already played their next contest, a 53-32 loss against Highland on the 8th. As for Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 40-38 victory against Albuquerque Academy on the 1st.
