Basketball Recap: Godwin Extends Winning Streak to Three

Godwin had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They had just enough and edged the Western Albemarle Warriors out 54-51. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 54-47 loss the last time these two teams met.

Godwin's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Western Albemarle, they moved to 8-3 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Godwin will host Thomas Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th. Thomas Jefferson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Godwin likes a good challenge. As for Western Albemarle, they will head out to square off against Fluvanna County at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th.
