Baseball Recap: Brown Drops Season-High Score on Frankfort Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brown). Everything went their way against the Frankfort Christian Academy Royals on Tuesday as they made off with a 23-16 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Jamison Calloway was a standout: he scored four runs and stole four bases while going 4-for-6. Calloway is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Oscar Wright was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-6.

Brown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .640. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Brown's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.7 runs over those games. As for Frankfort Christian Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brown will venture away from home to face off against Jeffersontown at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Frankfort Christian Academy, they will head out to square off against Williamstown at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
