            Baseball Recap: Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans vs. Park Tudor Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Indianapolis Bishop Chatard had lost four straight on the road, but  on Monday they dropped their record down to 13-11 to make it five. They lost  13-3 to the Park Tudor Panthers. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing  9-6 to the Panthers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Park Tudor, their record is now 12-8. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
For Park Tudor's part,  Desmond Francis was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. He  struck out seven batters over  four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  Francis has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases and one  run. He has become a key player for Park Tudor: the team is 6-1 when he posts  at  least  two  stolen bases, but 6-7 otherwise.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  MJ Gaines, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  RBI. Park Tudor is 8-1 when  Gaines posts two or  more  runs, but 4-7 otherwise.  Santana Jackson was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs and one  RBI.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indianapolis Bishop Chatard will face off against Guerin Catholic at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golden Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.2  runs per game this season. As for Park Tudor, they will square off against University at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
