 Edcouch-Elsa scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Donna North Chiefs  a   17-0 shutout. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for Edcouch-Elsa as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
  MILA PEDRAZA made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (she also only allowed one  walk). PEDRAZA was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with two  RBI and a  double.
 In other batting news, Edcouch-Elsa got a  massive  performance out of  JO-ELIA MENDOZA, who  went 3-for-3 with two  triples, four  RBI,  and two  runs.  ALI LOREDO was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
 Edcouch-Elsa's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Donna North, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost 11 of their last 12 games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record  this season.
 Coincidentally,  both teams will both be playing Harlingen South the next time they take the field. Edcouch-Elsa will  host Harlingen South at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday, while Donna North will head out to face them  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday.
