Basketball Game Preview: Northbridge Rams vs. Douglas Tigers

The Northbridge Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Douglas Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Northbridge has five straight victories, Douglas has 13 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Monday, Northbridge was able to grind out a solid win over Prouty, taking the game 79-69.

Meanwhile, Douglas took a blow against Hopedale on Tuesday, falling 57-25. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Blue Raiders are ranked 71st).

Northbridge pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for Douglas, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

Northbridge skirted past Douglas 47-44 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northbridge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
