Softball Game Preview: Lemoore Tigers vs. Orcutt Academy Spartans

The Lemoore Tigers will take on the Orcutt Academy Spartans in a tournament on Tuesday.

Lemoore saw some tournament action on Monday. They fell just short of Golden West by a score of 4-3. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Trailblazers: they've now lost five in a row.

Lemoore saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Giselle Rodriguez, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Maddie Bivens also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday Orcutt Academy sidestepped Mt. Whitney for a 4-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Orcutt Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Lemoore, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
