Softball Preview: Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs vs. Eastern Warriors

The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs will venture away from home to face off against the Eastern Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Lynchburg-Clay has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While Lynchburg-Clay didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They had just enough and edged out North Adams 8-7.

Noel Barnhill made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
