Volleyball Recap: Concordia Lutheran Takes a Loss

Concordia Lutheran extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 2-5. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pieper Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Thursday.

As for Pieper, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since August 30, 2024.

Pieper can attribute much of their success to Amaris Williams, who had three digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Williams a new career-high in assists (22). Anica DeWees also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Concordia Lutheran has already played their next matchup (against Kingwood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Pieper, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Round Rock Westwood on the 16th.
