Basketball Recap: Oswego East's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

Oswego East won the last time they faced St. Charles East and things went their way on Friday too. The Oswego East Wolves came out on top against the St. Charles East Fighting Saints by a score of 49-37. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Fighting Saints are ranked 285th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oswego East's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for St. Charles East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Oswego East will venture away from home to challenge Lincoln-Way East at 2:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for St. Charles East, they will challenge Marmion at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
