Recap: Dunedin Falcons vs. Tampa Prep Terrapins
This season hasn't been kind to the Dunedin Falcons, who are still winless after their fourth game. They were dealt a 76-23 defeat at the hands of Tampa Prep on Tuesday. Dunedin has not had much luck with Tampa Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the loss, Dunedin had strong showings from Caleb Kremske, who scored 6 points, and Aidan Laird, who scored 4 points along with 5 rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Dunedin struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Tampa Prep pulled down 19.
Tampa Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chandler White Brooks led the charge by scoring 19 points along with 7 rebounds. The game was White Brooks' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ben Jackson, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds.
Dunedin's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Tampa Prep, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Dunedin will head out on the road to face off against Seminole at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Seminole presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Dunedin in Florida (Seminole is ranked 186th, while Dunedin is ranked 490th). As for Tampa Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against IMG Academy Black at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
