Basketball Recap: Raymondville Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Raymondville extended their road winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Adaleigh Knight. The Raymondville Bearkats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Progreso Red Ants on Monday, sneaking past 41-39 thanks in part to Knight, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 18 boards. Her evening made it 12 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Corrina Flores was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Raymondville's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Progreso, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Raymondville will host Lyford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lyford will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Raymondville surely won't give up without a fight. Progreso does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
