Volleyball Recap: Appleton City Takes a Loss

If Appleton City was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Drexel on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the Archie Whirlwinds on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Whirlwinds: they've now lost five in a row.

Raeleigh Hill paced Appleton City's offense, picking up five kills. Hill got some help from Kady James and her nine assists. James also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Harper Logan, each putting up two.

Appleton City's loss dropped their record down to 18-15. As for Archie, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Appleton City nor Archie have any future games scheduled.
