Basalt has gone a perfect 10-0 against Moffat County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Longhorns will square off against the Bulldogs at 11:00 a.m. Basalt's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Basalt fell victim to Roaring Fork and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Rams, falling 5-0.

Meanwhile, Moffat County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to Middle Park. The matchup was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Moffat County it sure didn't stay that way.

Basalt's loss dropped their record down to 1-6-2. As for Moffat County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Basalt took their win against Moffat County when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Longhorns since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
