Recap: Red Bud Musketeers vs. Marissa/Coulterville Meteors
The Red Bud Musketeers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season. They ended the year with a bang, routing Marissa/Coulterville 38-14. Winning may never get old, but Red Bud sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
It was another big night for Addi Dilley, who scored 21 points along with three steals. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for her. Emma Carter was another key contributor, scoring two points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Red Bud's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Marissa/Coulterville, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season.
Red Bud will head out on the road to face off against Freeburg at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Marissa/Coulterville's road trip will continue as they head out to face New Athens at 6:00 p.m. on January 2nd. Hopefully New Athens focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 last Tuesday.
