Basketball Recap: Gore Takes a Loss

Gore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 39-28 to the Hulbert Riders. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 48-24 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hulbert to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mya Soap-Henson, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Brooke-Lynne Norton, who scored eight points and five rebounds.

Gore's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Hulbert, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Gore has already played their next game (against Gans), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hulbert has already played their next contest, a 38-35 loss against Weleetka on the 25th.
