Valley Oaks CES extends home losing streak to four

The Valley Oaks CES Vanguards's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 53-27 walloping at the hands of Community Charter. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Valley Oaks CES in their matchups with Community Charter: they've now lost three in a row.

Community Charter can attribute much of their success to Jefferson Barahona, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barahona has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Chancon, who scored ten points.

Valley Oaks CES bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.3 points per game. As for Community Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Oaks CES will square off against Triumph Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Community Charter, they will head out on the road to challenge Malibu at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
