Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors vs. University Christian Christians

The Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the University Christian Christians at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Christian Academy will be strutting in after a victory while University Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Trinity Christian Academy is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Beachside. Trinity Christian Academy never let Beachside onto the board and left with a 9-0 win on Tuesday.

Merrick Beamish looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk).

On the hitting side, Aiden Arnett was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Ethan Wheeler was another key player, going a perfect3-for-3 with four RBI and one stolen base.

Trinity Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Beachside only posted a batting average of .048.

Meanwhile, University Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Bolles on Friday and fell 3-2. The Christians haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

University Christian also got a good showing from Lukas Brougham, who pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, University Christian saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Worbington, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. Another was Bubba Crouch, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
