Softball Recap: Agoura Wins Going Away Against Chino Hills

Agoura picked up another tournament win on Friday. Everything went their way against the Chino Hills Huskies as the Agoura Chargers made off with a 7-1 win.

The team relied heavily on Mia Gomez, who fired off two home runs and three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Aurelia Ehry, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Agoura hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in four consecutive matchups.

Agoura's record is now 3-4. As for Chino Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Agoura is taking a road trip to take on Rio Mesa at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Agoura's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Rio Mesa's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Chino Hills will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Valley View at 4:00 p.m. on March 19th.
