Newhalen had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.2 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Dillingham Wolverines with a sharp 59-33 win. The Malamutes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 26 points or more this season.

Newhalen pushed their record up to 14-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Dillingham, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
