Football Game Preview: South Plantation Paladins vs. Coral Glades Jaguars

The South Plantation Paladins will face off against the Coral Glades Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. South Plantation's offense hasn't had much luck over their past four contests, but Monday's match will give them a chance to turn things around.

South Plantation took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand McArthur a 7-0 shutout. The win was some much needed relief for the Paladins as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Coral Glades' rock-solid defense showed up for the team's 11th consecutive shutout on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Hollywood Hills with a sharp 20-0 victory. Considering the Jaguars have won seven games by more than 19 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Coral Glades didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Noel Thomas led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one interception the last nine times she's played.

Coral Glades' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.2 points over those games. As for South Plantation, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

South Plantation beat Coral Glades 18-6 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Do the Paladins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
