Basketball Recap: Junction Snaps 16-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Junction can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They took down the Center Point Pirates 46-31. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 47-24 back in January.

Junction's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marilyn Martinez, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 20 rebounds. Martinez has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Catalina Salinas, who posted five points in addition to eight rebounds, eight steals, and seven assists.

Junction was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.
