Baseball Recap: La Crosse Central Comes Up Short

La Crosse Central fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Tomah on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timberwolves. The Riverhawks just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

La Crosse Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Smith, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

La Crosse Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Tomah, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. La Crosse Central will square off against Onalaska at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Tomah, they will challenge Sauk Prairie at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
