Football Game Preview: KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors vs. Carver Panthers

Two dominant s in Jared Earley and Michael Johnson Jr. are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors will be playing at home against the Carver Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lovett, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Warriors fell just short of the Lions by a score of 10-7 last Friday. The Warriors have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Carver strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against Hapeville Charter by a score of 14-7.

Carver found their leader in sophomore Johnson Jr., who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made four total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Carver's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate took a serious blow against Carver in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 44-0. Thankfully for the Warriors, Montavious Banks (who threw for 149 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 passes, and also rushed for 86 yards and one TD on only eight carries) won't be suiting up this time.
