Soccer Recap: West Lafayette Takes a Loss

West Lafayette was the 2-1 winner over Speedway when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Devils fell just short of the Sparkplugs by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Alex Casas was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

West Lafayette's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Speedway, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

West Lafayette didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 7-0 defeat against Fishers on the 23rd. As for Speedway, they will head out on the road to square off against Park Tudor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
