Basketball Recap: Bayside Takes a Loss

Bayside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took an 80-63 bruising from the Princess Anne Cavaliers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Marlins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-36 back in December of 2024.

Bayside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Princess Anne, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-8.

Bayside and Princess Anne could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Bayside (ranked 268th) will meet Veritas Collegiate Academy (ranked 105th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Princess Anne will challenge Peninsula Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday down 64 places (92 vs. 28).
