Basketball Recap: Miller Grove Takes a Loss

Miller Grove played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 77-41 defeat at the hands of the Fannindel Falcons. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 71-55.

Kor'Ziareona Aubrey was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 40 points, ten boards, and 15 steals for Fannindel. That makes it 19 consecutive games in which Aubrey has scored at least a third of Fannindel's points. Korshonti Aubrey was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds.

Miller Grove is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-21. As for Fannindel, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-16.

Miller Grove will square off against Ector at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fannindel, they will take on Savoy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Fannindel knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Savoy likes a good challenge.
