Basketball Game Preview: Bellarmine Prep Lions vs. Mountain View Thunder

The Bellarmine Prep Lions will face off against the Mountain View Thunder at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Wednesday, everything went Bellarmine Prep's way against Lincoln as Bellarmine Prep made off with a 63-39 victory. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Abes: they've now won nine in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bellarmine Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyla Frazier, who posted 17 points in addition to eight assists and four steals. The contest was Frazier's tenth in a row with at least 16 points. Melina Petramalo was another key player, going 7-for-13 en route to 19 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mountain View). They blew past Silas, posting a 69-31 victory.

Mountain View has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points over those games. Bellarmine Prep's win bumped their record up to 20-7.
