Basketball Game Preview: Delta Saints vs. Fortune Early College Panthers

The Delta Saints just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Fortune Early College Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Delta and three for Fortune Early College.

On Wednesday, Delta took a blow against Florin, falling 75-41.

Meanwhile, Fortune Early College fought the good fight in their overtime match against Rodriguez last Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Mustangs 78-74. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 740th, while the Mustangs are ranked 163rd).

Delta will need focus on slowing down Mekhi Tanner, one of several Fortune Early College players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 21 points. Kaden Bean was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Fortune Early College's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Delta, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
