Soccer Game Preview: Union vs. Ogden

Union hasn't had much luck against Ogden recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Union has given up an average of 3.2 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Union is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Wednesday. They lost 6-2 to Ben Lomond. The game was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Union it sure didn't stay that way.

Andrus Jensen and Cody Duncan scored both of Union's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Meanwhile, Ogden strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let Grantsville get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. Ogden might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

Ogden's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those five matchups. As for Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Union might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Ogden in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
