Softball Recap: Malone Comes Up Short

Malone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Chipley, falling 27-1. If Malone was looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to Chipley when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Malone's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Chipley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Malone will head out on the road to challenge Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Malone is facing Vernon at the right time seeing as Vernon is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Chipley, they will welcome Walton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chipley's pitchers better be ready for this one: Walton has averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
