Recap: Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles vs. Watertown Arrows
On Thursday, The Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles faced the Watertown Arrows in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Aberdeen Central's tough 42-17 defeat to Watertown might stick with them for a while. Aberdeen Central just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Despite the loss, Aberdeen Central still got an impressive performance from Cooper Eisenbiesz, who picked up 147 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Aberdeen Central's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-6. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Watertown, Lincoln, and Yankton. As for Watertown, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Aberdeen Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Watertown will take on Spearfish at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
