Soccer Recap: Marion vs. Tazewell
For the first time since back in March, Marion was forced to settle for a draw on Thursday. They and the Tazewell Bulldogs finished up their match with a 2-2 draw. The game got a bit rough at times, as the refs handed out a total of three yellow cards before it was all over: Marion's Isaac Roberson and Tazewell's Justin Thomas and Tristin Tarver were all carded.
Roberson was the only thing that stood between Marion and a shutout considering he scored both of Marion's goals. With that big game he's now up to eight goals this season.
Marion's draw gives them a new season record of 2-1-2. As for Tazewell, they moved theirs to 4-0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marion will take on Graham at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marion is strutting in with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season. As for Tazewell, they will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Richlands at 6:00 p.m. Tazewell is facing Richlands at the right time seeing as Richlands is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
