Softball Recap: Madison Beats Jonesville for Their Third Straight Victory

Madison put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Jonesville Comets. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by exactly four runs.

Olivia Schmitz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Kalexiana Wrest was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Camylie Sower, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Madison's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Jonesville: the pair will be back at it again later today.
