Softball Recap: Litchfield Comes Up Short

Litchfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 11-6 to the Pana Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Purple Panthers of the 13-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Alexis Mielke was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one double. Tessa Pastrovich also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Litchfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Pana, their record now sits at 6-4.

Coming up, Litchfield will be playing at home against Lincolnwood at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Pana has already played their next matchup (against Sangamon Valley/Tri-City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
