Softball Game Preview: Concordia Lutheran Crusaders vs. Lutheran South Academy Pioneers

Concordia Lutheran is 0-4 against Lutheran South Academy since February of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Concordia Lutheran Crusaders will face off against the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Concordia Lutheran took a 17-run loss the last time they faced off against Episcopal, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Concordia Lutheran came out on top in a nail-biter against Episcopal on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2.

Meanwhile, Lutheran South Academy never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against Cypress Christian as Lutheran South Academy made off with a 14-0 win. The Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.

Lutheran South Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. Concordia Lutheran's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4-1.

Concordia Lutheran suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Lutheran South Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Concordia Lutheran avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
