Basketball Recap: Charleston Collegiate Comes Up Short

Charleston Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 55-39 bruising from the Cathedral Academy Generals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-46 two weeks ago.

Madison Jackson was her usual excellent self, putting up 38 points for Cathedral Academy. The dominant performance gave Jackson a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Raven Williams, who posted 11 points.

Charleston Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Cathedral Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-21.

Charleston Collegiate didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 39-37 win against Ashley Hall on the 12th. As for Cathedral Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Our Lady of the Rosary at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Cathedral Academy is facing Our Lady of the Rosary at the right time seeing as Our Lady of the Rosary is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
