Basketball Recap: Northwestern Takes a Loss

Northwestern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Orrville Red Riders 79-51. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Riders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Northwestern's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Orrville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwestern will head out to challenge Wellington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orrville, they are taking a road trip to take on Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Orrville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matchups.
