Basketball Recap: Pembroke Wins High-Profile Match Against Oyster River

On Friday, Pembroke faced Oyster River in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Pembroke Spartans managed a 60-56 victory over the Oyster River Bobcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Pembroke is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Oyster River, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2.

As for Oyster River, they are taking a road trip to face off against Milford at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th. Milford will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Oyster River surely won't give up without a fight.
