Volleyball Recap: Wayne Warriors vs. Beavercreek Beavers
Wayne unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Beavercreek Beavers on Thursday. The Warriors have struggled against the Beavers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.
Christopher Moore paced Wayne's offense, picking up five kills. Moore got some help from Ben Sweitzer and his five assists. Eddie Gomez-Senquiz controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Beavercreek was led to victory by Harrison Barnett and Sebastian Pacheco. Barnett had nine assists and five aces, while Pacheco had seven digs and two aces.
The win (which was Beavercreek's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Wayne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Ponitz Career Tech on the 21st.
