Soccer Recap: Abraham Lincoln Takes a Loss

Abraham Lincoln lost against Franklin Towne back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Railsplitters came up short against the Warriors, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Abraham Lincoln can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 439th, while Franklin Towne are ranked 151st).

Abraham Lincoln has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Franklin Towne, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Coming up, Abraham Lincoln will challenge Carver High School of Engineering & Science at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Abraham Lincoln will be up against Carver High School of Engineering & Science's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.29 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Franklin Towne, they will face off against Nazareth Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
