The Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Oxford Prep Griffins at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Durham School of the Arts is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Cristo Rey Research Triangle: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Bulldogs blew the Bulls out of the water with a 63-22 final score. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 57-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulls had no chance of recovering from.

Faith Yon was a one-woman wrecking crew as she shot 88% from the field on her way to 29 points and seven steals. Those 88% shooting accuracy gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dior Brooks, who went 7-for-10 to rack up 14 points.

Meanwhile, Oxford Prep put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed past River Mill to the tune of 43-12. While the Griffins didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Durham School of the Arts' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Oxford Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Everything came up roses for Durham School of the Arts against Oxford Prep when the teams last played back in November of 2017, as the team secured a 52-19 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
