Basketball Recap: Tuscarawas Central Catholic Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Tuscarawas Central Catholic had lost three straight headed into Saturday's contest, but Brysen Grimes didn't let it get to four. The Tuscarawas Central Catholic Saints blew past the Beallsville Blue Devils, posting a 67-30 victory thanks in part to Grimes, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 13 boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in December of 2023.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Rothrock, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.1 rebounds per game.

Tuscarawas Central Catholic's win bumped their record up to 3-13. As for Beallsville, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Tuscarawas Central Catholic has already played their next match, a 60-57 victory against Fairless on the 4th. As for Beallsville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-34 loss against Bridgeport on the 4th.
