Basketball Recap: Beatty Comes Up Short

Beatty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 60-21 loss at the hands of the Spring Mountain Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-21 two weeks ago.

Despite the loss, Beatty still got an impressive performance from Reese Taylor, who posted 13 points. Those 13 points gave Taylor a new career-high.

Spring Mountain can attribute much of their success to Anthoney Avery, who had 14 points. Korey Villareal was another key player, putting up ten points.

Beatty's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Spring Mountain, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Beatty wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-34 loss against Indian Springs on the 3rd. As for Spring Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-39 victory against Round Mountain on the 3rd.
