Basketball Recap: Schaumburg Takes a Loss

After flying high against Elmwood Park last Tuesday, Schaumburg came back down to earth. The Schaumburg Saxons fell to the Barrington Fillies/Broncos 54-50. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fillies/Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-40 back in January.

Schaumburg's loss dropped their record down to 20-10. As for Barrington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-7.

Schaumburg and Barrington should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Schaumburg (ranked 96th) will meet Wheeling (ranked 406th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Schaumburg is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. Similarly, Barrington will face off against Elk Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 490 places (63 vs. 553).
